Workshop
The Workshop Department caters to the development of skills in various fields such as carpentry, fitting, welding, machine shop and foundry. Each such skill is developed in separate sections which are housed in the Workshop Department. The students from various engineering courses existing in the institute avail of the facilities available in the Workshop Department. The skills developed are related to both manual operations as well as operations on varied machinery available in the Workshop.
The Workshop Department has various sections housed under its roof such as Carpentry section, Fitting Section, Welding Section, Foundry Section, Basic Machine Shop and Advanced Machine shop. The different sections are equipped with varied machinery such as lathes, drilling machines, milling machines, shapers, grinding machines and several others. All these equipments are utilized in imparting/developing skills in students of various courses of the Institute.
