Library
Government Polytechnic Library is housed in an independent building, in front of the main office building. It is spread on three floors viz, ground floor which is utilized as a reading hall besides Librarian chamber, Reference books, Processing area, & newspaper stand. The first floor is utilized as stacking cum lending section and Book Bank Section. There are some rare, out of print and valuable stocks of books in this section. It also accommodates the magazine section. The basement area is utilized as store room of the library and temporarily for other office section.
The Library can accommodate 150 students at a time, in the Reading hall and Reference section. Library follows the open Access system, wherein the users can browse the books personally to find his/her book of interest.
Stacking section issues books for home reading on weekly basis and Reference section issues books for reference only. However rare, out of print & valuable books are restricted to reference only. Book Bank sets are issued at the beginning of each academic year to the students which are retained by student for full academic year.
