DIPLOMA IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

Introduction :-

Diploma in Electrical Engineering established in 1963, is a three-year program designed to produce Skilled technicians for the Electrical Industry.

Electrical Engineering Department has well established laboratories and is strengthened with faculties having extensive teaching and industrial experience.

The Curriculum balances foundational engineering principles in early years with specialized learning in power generation, transmission, distribution, Switchgear and protection, power electronics and electrical machine maintenance in later semesters.

To gain practical knowledge the department makes a conscious effort to organize field visits, industrial tours and seminars for the benefit of students.

Course Duration: The Diploma course is for duration of 3 years (6 Semesters).

After completing diploma in electrical engineering, students can pursue higher education for direct second year entry in bachelor of engineering programs, 2-yearcourse in maritime studies, these are a few to mention among vast avenues available in higher studies.
