I warmly welcome you to the official website of Government Polytechnic Panaji (GPP), Goa.

As the newly inducted Principal, I am honoured to lead Goa’s oldest technical institute, established in 1963. Today, Government Polytechnic Panaji offers eleven diploma programs in engineering and technology that address the dynamic needs of industry and stand as a beacon of excellence in technical education.

All these diploma programs are recognized by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and are full-time government-approved courses aligned with the norms set by the Board of Technical Education, Porvorim (BTE). The institute is approved by AICTE, affiliated to BTE, and is operated by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Goa.

The diploma curriculum is periodically reviewed and updated by the BTE to maintain a perfect blend of theoretical knowledge and practical expertise that meets the evolving demands of industry. GPP’s success is grounded in the unwavering commitment of its teaching and non-teaching staff, who dedicate themselves fully to realizing the institute’s vision and mission.

I am incredibly proud of our faculty, who are highly qualified, experienced, and passionate about the teaching-learning process. They mentor and guide students to achieve their highest potential. Their dedication extends beyond the classroom, shaping young minds into professionals with strong ethical and moral values.

At GPP, we constantly strive to bridge the gap between academia and industry by imparting practical skills, facilitating hands-on training, organizing industrial site visits, hosting expert lectures, and encouraging student participation in various competitions and presentations. This comprehensive 360-degree approach fosters holistic development. We continually enhance our facilities by upgrading laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment, setting benchmarks for other polytechnics in Goa.

Government Polytechnic Panaji proudly boasts over 16,240 alumni who have secured placements in national and multinational companies across diverse professions since the institute’s inception 62 years ago. Our alumni have significantly contributed to the socio-economic growth of India.
